Drive Technology For Systems Integrators and Design Engineers is name of a multi-hour series of courses offered by Bardac.

Here are the courses' outline:

These courses assume a reasonable depth of knowledge of the basic principles of both AC and DC drive technologies and applications, a general familiarity with industrial control products such as PLCs, serial communications, SCADA systems, etc., and professional knowledge of industrial safety procedures. 2c) Vysta Custom Configuration Software (8 hours)

* Creating and modifying Screen Lists
* Creating and modifying Schematics
* Troubleshooting designs
* Uploading and downloading configuration files
* Using Modbus Logger and Drivelink
* Interfacing to the drive Standard Program

2d) PL-Series - Digital DC Drives (4 hours)

* Overview
* Horsepower ratings & typical applications
* Features, i/o and advanced application functions
* Installation and start up configurations
* Optional features
* PL Pilot custom configuration software tools
* Communications and drive.web options
* DC motor specification

2e) PL-Series - Digital DC Drive - Standard Application Solutions (3 hours)

* Fully compensated open loop winders
* Closed loop winders - dancer or loadcell controlled
* PID section control
* Spindle orientation

2f) Single Phase - DC Drives (1 hour)

* Overview
* Horsepower ratings & typical applications
* Features and i/o
* Installation and start up configurations

2g) Routine maintenance of AC and DC drives and motors (1 hour)

* The importance of the operating environment
* Equipment safety considerations
* Spares holding policies
* Storage and organization of documentation and backup of configuration data files
* Where to find information when you need it

2h) drive.web introduction for Systems Integrators and Design Engineers (2 hours)

* drive.web distributed control technology overview
* create a "phantom" drive system with AC & DC drives
* navigate around drive block diagrams and drive systems
* identify object attributes
* connect parameters together
* monitor and set parameter values
* set user access levels and passwords
* using parameter "docks"
* show parameter value trend charts, etc.
