RELIANCE School of Motors and Drives based in Greenville, SC. and evolving from previous field schools, follows the pattern and excellence of the DSOT. It also centers on product groups, covering NEMA AC, Inverter Duty, Special Purpose, DC and Engineered Motors, along with AC and DC Drive Basics, Products, Specifications, and Applications. Hands on sessions with set-up and testing are included in the drives segment.

The RSMD requires at least 2 years of sales experience in motors and drives and the completion of the RELIANCE training programs, "Fundamentals of AC Motors," and "Basics of AC Drives."
