The identification number for a motor will basically be a model and serial number. The model number will include information about the type of motor, and the serial number will be a unique number that indicates where and when the motor was manufactured. These numbers will be important when a motor is returned for warranty repairs, or if an exact replacement is specified as a model for model exchange.
