We hope that we have demonstrated that soldering is not difficult, but is more difficult to do properly. Great care must be taken with all stages of soldering and the slightest omission could cause a bad joint.
To sum up the main points of soldering which must be correct :
(i) CLEANLINESS - If the joint is clean you will get good results.
(ii) THE CORRECT SIZE OF SOLDERING IRON.
(iii) THE CORRECT FLUX.
(iv) THE CORRECT SIZE OF SOLDER.
Get all these items correct and dry joints will be a thing of the past.
